Quality of client service in a professional organisation is based on people. We give priority to recruiting and training. Our trainee accountants are mostly university graduates, many of them with accounting degrees. All graduates complete a structured training programme which combines practical work experience with an extensive range of formal courses and a number of management courses.
Other professional staffs are recruited on the strength of their experience, quality of qualification and suitability to undertake the services offered to our clients.

MATTHEW OGAGAVWORIA
Matthew Ogagavworia founded Matthew Ogagavworia & Co(Chartered Accountants) in 2010. He is an Associate, Nigerian Institute of Management (ANIM) (2001), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, and The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and an Authorized Dealing Clerk of The Nigerian Stock Exchange. A 1995 graduate of Accounting from the University of Port Harcourt., Matthew trained and qualified as a professional in 2001. Prior to joining founding Matthew Ogagavworia & Co, he worked with Ken Ohore & Co(Chartered Accountants), Standard Trust Bank Ltd(Now United Bank for Africa Plc), NNB International Bank Plc(now Unity Bank Plc), First Inland Bank Plc(Now Finbank Plc), Tower Assets Management and BGL Securities Limited( A member of The Nigerian Stock Exchange).
He has attended various local and international courses on Investment Banking, Specialized Making Markets Work, Corporate Negotiations, Management Development, Strategy, Sales and Financial Modeling.
He is the Managing Partner, Matthew Ogagavworia & Co; he brings to the firm 15 years of experience in Auditing, Accounting, Taxation, Human Resources and Financial Advisory Services, Banking, Capital Markets, Oil & Gas.
ISRAEL KWODE
He is the managing Director of First Derivative Consulting. He has over 18 years cognate experience in private and public sectors. He has functioned in diverse executive roles and interrelationships covering finance, risk management, branch management, Economic policy, budgeting and expenditure control having worked with reputable financial institutions and government establishment. He studied Economics & Statistics and holds MSC in Economics with specialization in Monetary Economics, MSC Banking & Finance with specialization in financial management. He has attended various international and local courses in financial management and macroeconomics.
TEDDY OKUMAKUBE
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Ed) in Economics and an MBA specializing in International Business. He is an Associate member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
He has over Fifteen (17) years experience in the Financial Services sector which span through Auditing & Investigation, Public Sector Advisory, Corporate Finance, Project Finance and Management, Portfolio Management, Investment Advisory and Business Development. Teddy has attended several local and international courses including the Euro money programmes in Oil, gas and power project financing, investment fund strategy, financial modelling, an IBFC Agusto training on financial analysis and investment advisory, a Dale and Parker/Brain Tracy international training on personal effectiveness and performance enhancement, and a Securities and Exchange Commission course on understanding capital market rules and regulations.
Teddy Okumakube had worked with D.O. Dafinone & Co. now Dafinone Howarth and Partners (a firm of Chartered Accountants) where he rose to the position of Assistant Manager, Audit.
He is currently the Executive Director at BGL Securities Limited. He previously held the position of Vice President and Head, Business Development, South-East and South-South regions at BGL Securities Ltd for several years.
He is a Consultant to the firm, Matthew Ogagavworia & Co(Chartered Accountants). He is also on the board of Tricorr Technology Limited, an Environmental Consulting firm as well as Kings Crown Business School. He is also the promoter of Tedglad Ventures, Mustard Consult and Associates limited and Mustards Marines Limited.
SOJI SOLOMON IKUEMONISAN

Soji Ikuemonisan is currently the Managing Partner, Solomon Soji & Co(Chartered Accountants). He has been working with Matthew Ogagavworia & Co(Chartered Accountants (MOC) on major assignments for our growing clientele . He has over fourteen years experience in providing auditing and accounting services to a wide spectrum of industries including hospitality, airline, manufacturing,co-operative societies, and oil & gas company.

Mr. Ikuemonisan started his auditing and accounting career in Nigeria in 1989 as Field Supervisor at Okitipupa oil Palm Ltd. Subsequently, he was Auditor Assistant, then Audit Supervisor at William Osiebe & Co, from 1999-2002. He joined Erijoy Hotels Ltd, Port Harcourt as Financial Adviser, a role where he participated in various project appraisals, capital raising, negotiation and management of the business. In 2005, he joined the employment of Shell East Co-operative as Accountant. In 2006, he founded Solomon Soji & Co(Chartered Accountants).

SODJE OGHENERIEBORUE K.M.
He is a Seasoned banker and administrator whose experience spans across the private and public sectors.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Technology) and Master in Science degrees in Project Management from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State and Metropolitan University, Leeds, England respectively as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Benin, Benin City. He is an Associate Member, Nigeria Institute of Management(NIM), Chartered Institute of Bankers and a Certified Trainer, Centre for Management Development.
Sodje started his working career with the Federal Government Works and moved on to Delta Steel Company Limited, Ovwian-Aladja, Shell Petroleum Development Company, (SPDC) Western Division Warri and Capital Projects Consultants, Abuja between 1987 and 1990, where he was engaged in project development and maintenance of housing and construction and hard standings.
After this work experience tutelage, he joined the Federal Road Safety Corps as a member of the team that pioneered the harmonization and computerization of the National Drivers’ License in 1990. He held the positions of Operations Commander in Abuja and environs and Sector Commander of Plateau Command. He left in 1993 to begin his finance and banking career with the National Economic Reconstruction Fund as a Credit Appraisal Officer with responsibilities for credit appraisal of small and medium enterprises (SME’s) loan proposals, implementation, execution and monitoring.
Between 1999 and 2009, Mr. Sodje worked with Oceanic Bank, Skye Bank, Ecobank and First Bank, where he rose to become the head of unit in the Corporate Banking Directorates. He was engaged in project finance initiatives, credit analysis, business development, loan restructuring and workouts, financial advisory, relationship management of large corporates, multinational organizations, and Government relationships. He joined the consultancy practice of Lincoln Luther where he served as Head, Banking and Financial Training Consultancy. He was responsible for developing business and delivering on mandate of clients in the banking industry and their customers.
Over the years, he has developed a unique combination of strong technical and leadership skills with an inclusive management style and ability to build and sustain organizational, personal and customers’ relationships.
He is currently the Partner-in Charge, Advisory, Matog Consulting.
OKAFOR NONSO
Okafor Nonso holds an accounting degree from the University of Benin. He is an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. He is an SAP Business Intelligence and Business Object consultant. He has three years experience in the Information Technology Sector as a business solution architect in analyzing data and creating reports across all functional modules.

Nonso Okafor has worked for Pentacle Consulting, Austin Texas where he worked with numerous client during Project preparation, Blueprint, Implementation and Go Live Phase of project in analyzing business requirements by determining organizational structures and classifying business units/locations as company codes, and profitability centres, such client include Halliburton Company , Walmart Group and Texas Instruments
